The Scenic Resort In Zijingang Campus Last Weekend On Early Winter

2010年12月4日 留下评论

I had not gone to Zijingang campus for about one year after I had finished my major classes mainly in the first year of the learning period. Of course there might be some changes in the campus and the greatest one was that some new buildings were under construction. That means the areas of the campus was expanding because of the abandonment of another campus and the transmission there.

One of the office employees lives in a residential area so near to the campus. So last weekend another office employee and I went there by bus to have a look of the condition he lives in. When we got to there it was near the noon. So we three went to Zijingang campus to have the lunch and had a visit on the campus.

We went to the campus on foot and went in and out of the campus freely. After having the lunch in the dinning room at the first floor of the building, we went to the scenic resort area in the campus to have a record of the beautiful scene on early winter.

Going To Guangdong This Week For Two Days

2010年11月27日 留下评论

My tutor told me last week that I would go with him flying to Shantou, Guangdong this Sunday and asked me of my ID number to book the flight ticket. The purpose of this trip was to give the suggestion to the later new products of a factory in Jieyang, which is not far away from Shantou. For me, my task was to say something in law about the authorized patents in the same field of the products. I do not say the specific names and the detailed information about the new products. I was mainly staying in the factory and did not take the camera with me, and the main reason was that photography was banned in the workshop. There were no photos about the factory here.

On about 3:00 PM this Sunday, we went to Wulin Square to take the bus to the airport. The plane to Shantou was on 6:05 PM and that was the proper time to start. It was raining outside and I took a photo through the bus glass and another in the bus as follows.

a photo taken through the bus glass from outside

It was dark outside when the bus got to the airport. We took the tickets from the service place and went through check-in. That was the first time I went to the airport but I still did not take any photos there. We got on the plane 10 minutes in advance. That was a small plane with only about 60 people sitting in. The noise was so large and my ears were not adaptable and I felt it a little drumming in the ears. It flight so fast and it took about one hour and 40 minutes of the whole process. The airport of Shantou is so small and the car of the factory come to the airport and took us to Jieyang.

When we got to the center of Jieyang, it was so late and we went to a local sidewalk snack booth to have the supper. It was the first time for me to have the typical local dish of Chaoshan. Of course I was not used to such flavor. The main characters are light with little oil. Most of the dishes are half raw vegetables or fresh seafood. So I did not have good meals there in the two days.

It was so late that night when we got to the booked hotel, Rongjiang Hotel, one hotel of five-star level. The equipments and hardware conditions were very good. The following several photos were something related to the indoor decoration of the room I lived in.

The next day was Monday and we got to the factory after we had our breakfast in the hotel. We stayed in the factory in the whole day and went back to the hotel in the evening. There was no computer in the room but there was the internet line. I had tried to log on the internet to retrieve the patents on the notebook of my tutor and the speed was very fast because of the wide band width of 100 MB. So I took on the TV set to watch TV in the two nights. I completely saw one period of one blind date program on ZJTV.

Most of the tasks were finished during Monday and there were no important things to do on Tuesday. So we went to Shantou in advance and got to two resorts: the Tiantan Park and the Tashan Scenic Area. Here were some photos taken in the two resorts.

Beautiful Sunflower Field In ZJUT

2010年11月14日 留下评论

From the introduction of sunflowers on Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, you can have a detailed knowledge of the flower. Here is the address: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunflower. Two weeks ago just on Saturday of the weekend, I, with several numbers of our lab and office workers went to Xiaoheshan campus of ZJUT to see the beautiful sunflowers which have been highly praised by the public. You can find several reports and descriptions of the sunflowers before in the past two years. It is said that the piece of sunflower field was planted in 2008 when it was the 55th anniversary of the university. But the date of the anniversary was on late October and in order to welcome the festival, the sunflowers were planted late out of the normal season. So as the result, the flower plate was smaller and the efflorescence was shorter than those with the normal season. Here are some reports and personal entries to describe the sunflowers in 2008.

The convention was leaving to the following years. This was the first time for me to see the sunflowers in ZJUT and it was also the first time for me to see too many sunflowers all planted in a piece of field. That day was a nice day with a good sunshine and I got there earlier than others and stayed in the classroom of the formal practicing students working in our office. At about noon we got to the field with the area of about 600 square meters. I took some photos and chose some of them posted here.

I Went To See EXPO Shanghai Last Weekend

2010年09月26日 留下评论

One of the great events that concern with the eyes of the public is EXPO 2010 Shanghai, China. It is impossible to work out a correct figure of the income that the Expo will bring to China. Perhaps Shanghai will be one of those Expos that live in the memories of those that visit them for decades. The event will doubtless boost the Shanghai economy in the short term, and the national prestige – not least among the domestic tourists. But the mere notion of splashing out so lavishly on what used to be called World’s Fairs has been out of favor globally for decades.

You must know EXPO 2010 Shanghai, China has been opened to the public for about five months. Hundreds and millions of people went to visit the exhibition. I am one of the visitors among them. I went to see it on last weekend. I thought that I would go there before it closes on the end of next month. It would be the mere opportunity that such a great exhibition taken place in China. But not many foreigners went to see the exhibition and most of the guests were Chinese people instead. I think it might be related to the national characters of our people. Most people have the attitude of joining in the fun and gathering for the sight. Of course it is also another reason that the government would like to maintain its outward image.

OK! I would not say much more about such an unhappy item. Let’s see the following photos I took at that day. I went in the EXPO Site from Gate 8 and the first building coming into my eyes was Window of the City. And I saw that many people were waiting for entering the correspondent pavilions at the entrances of many pavilions. It was so hot that day. But it was on the weekend and there were so many people that at about noon the total number of the people entering the site was 367 thousand! I would not like to wait for a long time to enter a pavilion. So I only took some photos outside and took on the free bus to the area of China pavilion, for I could come into China Pavilion for the group reservation in advance. Before the time to come in, I visited one Theme Pavilion of Citizen that would not to be waited for. Of course it was really nothing to be seen in mind. And I only put on one picture on the wall when I first came into the building.

On that afternoon on the square at the front of China Pavilion, I with the group entered the splendid building of China Pavilion. Before we actually went into it, we were staying under the shed for about one hour. And we gradually walked into the building following and been followed with many people. Before we took on the elevator to the exhibition hall, we went round and round in the lobby for about one and half hours. At last we got to the exhibition hall and walked along the visiting line one by one. I took some photos during the visiting process. But unfortunately, the electricity power of the batteries for my camera wore out completely after I was in the middle process of the sight seeing. So I did not take on anything about later sitting in the car and the new energy of biofuel and new types of cars with electrical power.

What a tired day! I really felt nothing special to be seen! And I took the sympathy that so many visitors came to Shanghai from far away to take money buying enduring hardships.

The Furniture Exhibition Shanghai, 2010 And The Visit To One Special Place In Shanghai

2010年09月24日 留下评论

I was staying in Shanghai from 9th to 11th this month. I went to attend the Furniture Exhibition Shanghai, 2010 at the International Exhibition Center on Longyang Road, Pudong. It was so convenient that you could take on the bus there during the days of the exhibition at the exit of the Longyang subway station. I went there on the third day but the majority of the team went there the day before. So the main time in the center I was staying at the spot of the stall of the factory cooperated with our lab in Anji. That is the difference from the day in the same exhibition last year. You can see the photos taken last year in my photo folder and the address link is: “2009年9月上海家具展”. I only went to see few of the other booths one of which was Lianyou Office Chair, whose chairs were shown in the photos as follows. The main innovative structure is the design of the chassis of the office chairs which combines with the seatpan into one whole chair. You can see two photos above in detail.

After the exhibition I stayed in Shanghai for another day. Two of my senior middle school classmates and I gathered together at noon on that Saturday near Xujiahui. We had the lunch in a restaurant on one secret street in Xuhui District. The spot including that street is one special place in Shanghai. Many people even some native residents do not know that place exactly. It includes many one-way streets with many old trees along the two sides of the streets and many old houses and western style buildings. The environment there is so good and keeps quiet in a noisy neighborhood. There are not many pedestrians and cars on the streets and Shanghai Library is not far away. One of my classmates later at that afternoon took me to have a look there and I took some photos in one old yard where the biggest capitalist Rong Desheng lived before liberation. Now the buildings in the yard are changed into the Children’s Palace of Xuhui District. And there are many stories about the special place in Shanghai.
